| In 2005 the Colorado Junior Golf Association reintroduced the Dave Askins Two-Player Team Championship. Askins served as the Executive Director of the Colorado Golf Association from the late 1970's until his unexpected passing in December of 1985. Along with serving the CGA, Askins served as a chairman for the International Association of Golf Adminstrators and was in line to serve as President before he passed. |
